WE FIT YOUR GAME
At Golf Etc., we provide performance club fittings and full service repairs. If you’re looking to take some strokes off your game, then getting a club fitting is just what you need. The key to success is selecting the right clubs, and we use the latest in technology to ensure you are playing the right equipment for your game.
Most golfers want to achieve improvement as fast as they can in order enjoy the game and achieve better scores. At Golf Etc., we believe that three things are required to dramatically improve or transform your game: 1) proper swing technique, 2) practice and 3) the right equipment for your swing and game objectives. Because taking lessons and practicing more takes a substantial amount of time, equipment that is fitted to your natural swing can help you play better golf almost immediately. Whether you are a beginner or just trying to get better, we can help you play better... FASTER!
At Golf Etc., we take a different approach. We firmly believe that a golf shop’s recommendations shouldn’t be based on quotas, incentives or personal preferences. Instead, the right club is the one that fits your unique golf game.
That’s why our first step in fitting you with the right club is a complete evaluation of your swing. Using our proprietary Better Golf Faster software system and the latest simulator and launch monitor technology, including the Foresight GC2 launch monitor, we develop an accurate profile of your specific abilities and tendencies. We use this data to select the best golf clubs AND the right combination of club shaft, head and grip to fit your game.
With the right ball you can gain more control and more yards. Spin rate, launch angle and ball speed all make a difference to your game. That’s why Golf Etc. is committed to fitting you with the right golf ball, in addition to the right club. We analyze the effect your swing has on your ball flight. Then we match you with the best ball for your game.
Golf Etc. stores provide on-site full service club repairs. From high-tech repairs to simple re-gripping, all of our work is performed in a timely manner, with a guarantee on workmanship and materials. We treat your clubs as if they were our own.
- Re-grip – size matters and is a big part of fitting; arthritic grips are also available.
- Re-shaft – fitting into the correct shaft for you can add distance
- Spine alignment – a frequency evaluation will let us know if your club can be improved with spine alignment
- Loft & lie – this is a must; most clubs on the rack need adjusting to fit you
- Frequency – we find the exact mathematical measurement of a golf shaft’s stiffness to help us maximize club head speed
- Frequency matching – using frequency, we can create a logical progression of CPMs from club to club within a set of clubs, so each club will feel and respond identically
- Club set-up – get the works if you want to play your best
Testimonials and Letters from Golf Etc. Customers
"After I figured up my fairways hit stats for the last season, I decided that I was going to get fit for a driver....I started this journey by visiting every fitter in the area, looking over their selections, and talking to the fitters/salesmen. I say "fitters/salesmen," because you can tell a big difference between someone who is a knowledgeable fitter and a fitter that is more of a salesman. After visiting the last place, I knew where I was going, no question; they had the best fitter, best selection, and it just looked like an indoor tour van. That place was Golf Etc in Evansville, IN.... I would strongly suggest that anyone living in the Evansville, IN area go see Mike at Golf Etc and drop the $75 for a fitting. Even if a new driver isn't in your budget, you can at least see the potential gains you have by getting fit and you can start saving your pennies. I can't wait to get my new driver and get out on the course. Unfortunately, due to the weather and my wife wanting to get this driver for my birthday, it won't be until April. Golf is going to be a lot easier from long in the fairway."

"Fantastic experience at Golf Etc. I recently worked with Jason and his knowledgeable staff at Golf Etc. Jason did an excellent job analyzing my swing. At the same time he gave me some great pointers on how to improve my game and golf swing. I purchased a complete set of new custom built Taylor Made clubs with a new bag. I even got a Sky Caddy. Jason's pricing matched all the internet prices, so I knew I was buying at the best price, but from reliable, reputable local people. I love the new clubs and can already see a major improvement in my game and my scores! I highly recommend Golf Etc. and Jason to anyone wanting a great golf experience and a fun way to improve their game."
I want to thank you for the splendid and accurate job you did for me in regard to length change on a set of irons this week... you went WAY past the agreement that we made and I appreciate your saving and installing the original grips...it clearly shows that your customer appreciation concern is on top of the scale.
Best, Hugh Hamilton
I have been playing with a new set of clubs that Jason & Ryan specifically fitted to me based on a thorough analysis of my current swing, which we discovered was a bit slower than 5 years ago. In 45 years of golfing I have never had a set of clubs better suited for my game.
As for shot dispersion: the 'miss-hits' are much closer than I have ever experienced. I almost feel guilty about that... but not quite. On 'well-struck' shots: the results are beyond anything I have experienced in years due to expertly fitted shafts that are producing a significant (and much needed) reduction in spin rate.
Anyone who is trying to improve their capabilities and scores should do two things: practice regularly, and take the time to get a set of custom fitted sticks by the crew at Golf, Etc.
To Jason & Ryan, thanks guys... you have a customer for life.
Best, Dave B
I recently worked with Jason and Ryan Tanner on a custom club fitting at Golf Etc. I had a "custom fit" set of clubs before I came to golf etc., or so I thought… The old clubs couldn't have been worse for me. Before coming in for a fitting session I had been driving the ball about 220 yards with a high and slicing ball flight. After about 5 swings and one quick tip from Ryan, I saw the distance go from about 220 to around 290-320 yards. The new driver purchased about 30 days prior was the only club/shaft combination that fit my swing tendencies. We then went through a three hour extensive fitting session where after trying various club heads and shaft combinations I settled on Cleveland irons with KBS tour C-Taper shafts, neither of which I would have chosen without Ryan's help. With the new combination I saw an average increase of about 20 yards/club with less dispersion. Do yourself a favor and let the real professionals at Golf Etc. fit you for clubs and see what you can gain.

"I felt that it would take some range time before playing or even a few holes to 'warm up' with my old clubs. I now know that I was adjusting my swing to clubs that weren't optimized for me and my swing. My index went from 5 to 1.8 mainly due to a change in properly fitted clubs. Club fitting is less art and subjective than I thought, and more objective and scientific than commonly believed."
